Agreement

By downloading, installing, or using the CartChef app or visiting getcartchef.com, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use our services. CartChef is operated by CartChef LLC. You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of consent in your jurisdiction) to use CartChef.

Use of the service

CartChef provides meal planning, grocery list, and recipe tools for personal use. You agree to:

• Use the app and website only for lawful purposes and in line with these terms
• Use the service for personal, non-commercial use (no resale or commercial use of the service)
• Not abuse the service (e.g. scraping, automated access, attempts to bypass access controls or overload systems)
• Keep your account credentials secure and take responsibility for activity under your account

Subscriptions and payments

Full access to the app requires an active subscription. After sign-up or onboarding, you need a subscription to use the main app features. Payment is processed through the Apple App Store. Subscription may auto-renew unless cancelled before the end of the current period.

Management and cancellation are done through the Apple App Store — via "Manage Subscription" in the app or in your device Settings. Subscription terms, renewal, and cancellation are governed by Apple's policies. Refund requests must be directed to Apple.

Your content

You retain ownership of content you create (e.g. meal plans, recipes). By using CartChef, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display that content to provide the service. We do not claim ownership of your recipes or plans.

We may process your content with automated tools (including AI) to provide features such as recipe standardization, weekly insights, and recommendations, as described in our Privacy Policy. You must have the right to any content you add (e.g. recipes you create or import), and you will not upload content that infringes others' rights or is illegal or harmful. We may remove content or suspend or terminate accounts for violation.

Account termination

You may delete your account and associated data at any time (e.g. in the app: Profile → Privacy & Security → Delete Account). We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms or for other reasons we communicate. Where the law requires it, we will give notice or an opportunity to cure where appropriate.

Disclaimer

CartChef is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. AI-generated or AI-assisted content (e.g. recipe suggestions, weekly insights, standardized ingredients) is for convenience only; we do not guarantee its accuracy or suitability for your diet or allergies. Recipe and nutrition information is for general use only; we are not responsible for dietary or allergy outcomes. Always use your own judgment when cooking and shopping.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CartChef LLC and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to CartChef (through Apple) in the twelve (12) months before the claim.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app or website after changes constitutes acceptance. We will indicate the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
